Engine Oil Pump Removal and Installation: Installation

Detailed information, notes, and precautions
Torque: N.m (kgf.m, lbf.ft)
Replace
  1. Oil Pump - Install
    1. Apply liquid gasket to the engine block mating surface of the oil pump and to the inside edge of the threaded bolt holes.

    2. Align the inner rotor with the crankshaft, and install the oil pump.

    NOTE: Replace the pulley end crankshaft oil seal as needed.

    3. Clean the excess oil off the crankshaft, and check that the oil seal lip is not distorted.

  2. Oil Strainer - Install
  3. Oil Filter Base/Oil Filter Assembly - Install
  4. Oil Pan - Install
  5. Engine - Support
    1. Lift and support the engine with a jack and a wood block under the oil pan.
  6. Engine Support Hanger - Remove

    NOTE:  After removing the engine support hanger, install the front damper caps.

  7. Cowl Cover - Install
  8. Connector (Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Sensor) - Connect
  9. Timing Belt Drive Pulley - Install
  10. Timing Belt - Install
  11. Engine Oil - Refill
  12. Air Guide and Air Intake Duct - Install 
  13. Front Bulkhead Cover - Install
  14. Engine Cover - Install
