Contact point - Test 1. Check for continuity between idle stop off switch connector terminals according to the table.
If the result is not normal, replace the Idle stop off switch.
Connector Idle stop off switch 5P connector (male terminals): Test terminal Switch position Normal No. 1 - No. 3 pressed continuity not pressed not continuity LED - Test NOTE:
- When an LED is located between terminals, check if the LED illuminates by connecting power and ground to the LED.
- Note this important operating characteristic; diode bias causes a diode to fully conduct electricity in one direction (forward), while not at all in the opposite direction.
2. Connect the 12 volt battery to the Idle stop off switch according to the table.
3. Check that the LED of the idle stop off switch comes on.If the LED does not come on, replace the idle stop off switch.
