System Description: LANEWATCH
LaneWatch System
The LaneWatch uses the LaneWatch camera and display to check for obstacles in blind spots in the passenger's side. The driver can check the areas that he or she cannot check with the passenger's side mirror.
Reference Line
Three reference lines are displayed in the image of the LaneWatch. Each reference line indicates the distance from the rear bumper. The three reference lines can be used to know the distance to a vehicle or object displayed in the image. If an object is near the first reference line (red line), it means that the object is approaching the vehicle. If an object is near the third reference line (orange line), it means that the object is far from the vehicle.
