DTC Troubleshooting: P0A36, P0A36 (Generator Motor Control Module)

DTC P0A36  : Generator Temperature Sensor Circuit (Traction Motor Control Module Detected)DTC P0A36  : Generator Motor Temperature Sensor Circuit

NOTE: 

• Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
• If any of the DTCs listed below are indicated at the same time as DTC P0A36, troubleshoot those DTCs first, then recheck for P0A36.

    Traction motor control module: P1D6F

  • -

    Generator motor control module: P1D74, P1D75

DTC (Electric Powertrain)

1. DTC check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   -2. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   Traction motor control module 

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame

   Generator Motor Control Module 

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame

   Are DTC P0A36 and any other DTCs indicated at the same time?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC(s) troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Check for any authorized service information related to the DTC(s) or symptoms you are troubleshooting or substitute a known-good PCU .
