DTC P161B
DTC P161B: Park Pawl Control Module Programming Error
General Description
The park pawl actuator driver unit controls shifting/releasing of the park pawl actuator to/from the P position. A control program is stored in the park pawl actuator driver unit which confirms whether the control program is correctly written on start-up. If an abnormal condition of the control program is detected, the powertrain control module (PCM) receives malfunction from the park pawl actuator driver unit, and stores a DTC.
