DTC P172A: KEY-Release Wake-up Output Circuit Malfunction
General Description
At the condition the vehicle is in OFF (LOCK) mode, the SBW shifter control module in the SBW shifter assembly turns the SRKS output to ON (12 V) when the key release switch is pressed once. The SBW shifter control module monitors the return signal of the SRKS output, and when the return signal and SRKS output does not match for a specified duration, the powertrain control module (PCM) receives malfunction from the SBW shifter control module, and stores a DTC.
