DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC P0073 Outside Air Temperature Sensor A Circuit High DTC (PGM-FI)
Is DTC P0073 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at outside air temperature sensor A and the climate control unit. If the on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the on-board snapshot .
- Outside air temperature sensor A check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Outside air temperature sensor A 2P connector Outside air temperature sensor B 2P connector -3. Connect the connector of outside air temperature sensor B to outside air temperature sensor A.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-6. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-7. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait 8 seconds.

DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC P00DC Outside Air Temperature Sensor B Circuit High DTC (PGM-FI)
Is DTC P00DC indicated?
YES
Replace the outside air temperature sensor A .
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (TAM line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Climate control unit connector A (32P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Outside air temperature sensor A 2P connector: disconnected Climate control unit connector A (32P): disconnected Test point 1 Climate control unit connector A (32P) No. 26 Test point 2 Outside air temperature sensor A 2P connector (female terminals) No. 2: Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open in the TAM wire between the climate control unit (A26) and outside air temperature sensor A.
- Open wire check (SENSOR COM line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Outside air temperature sensor A 2P connector: disconnected Climate control unit connector A (32P): disconnected Test point 1 Climate control unit connector A (32P) No. 12 Test point 2 Outside air temperature sensor A 2P connector (female terminals) No. 1: Is there continuity?
YES
The SENSOR COM wire is OK. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good climate control unit , then recheck. If DTC P0073 goes away and the climate control unit was substituted, replace the original climate control unit .
NO
Repair an open in the SENSOR COM wire between the climate control unit (A12) and outside air temperature sensor A.
