DTC P26A3  : Electric Water Valve Malfunction

DTC (PGM-FI)

1. Climate control system DTC check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   -2. Check for climate control system DTC with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC

   DTC (AC)

   Is any DTC indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting .

   NO 

   Go to step 2.

2. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

   -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   -3. Charge the battery using the charge cable until the lithium ion battery charge level gauge display 100%.

   -4. Allow the engine to cool to the ambient temperature.

   -5. Turn the vehicle to the READY TO DRIVE mode.

   -6. Turn the A/C switch on, and set the heater to MAX HOT.

   -7. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   P26A3 Electric Water Valve Malfunction

   DTC (PGM-FI)

   Is DTC P26A3 indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated. Go to step 3.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the on-board snapshot

3. Heater coolant line check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   -2. Remove the electric water valve .

   -3. Check the hose between the 3-way joint and the electric water valve for clogging or restrictions.

   Is the 3-way joint or the hose clogged or restricted?

   YES 

   Remove the clog or restriction from the 3-way joint or the hose. Replace the 3-way joint or the hose if needed.

   NO 

   Replace the electric water valve .
