Function Check

NOTE:  Make sure the contract procedure about telematics is done.

The Function Check tests the connection between the vehicle and the telematics server. It checks to make sure that the telematics control unit can send and receive HTTP message with the telematics server through the network.

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

2. Press and hold the HOME button, SEEK DOWN () button, and the AUDIO POWER () button until the Diagnosis Menu screen is displayed.

3. When the Diagnosis Menu appears, select the Detail Information & Setting (A).

4. Select the Unit Check (A) from the Detail Information & Setting menu.

5. Select the TCU from the Unit Check menu.

6. Select the Test (A) from the TCU Status screen.

7. Select the HTTP Check (A) to check the communication with the telematics server.NOTE:  Before selection, check if the TEL Signal Strength indicates 4 or 5.

8. If you perform the Test, the telematics control unit transmits a function check message to the telematics service provider to check a network connection. If the message was sent to the telematics service provider successfully, the telematics service provider sends reply (function check response) to the telematics control unit and the HTTP Check indicates OK.

9. To end the System Diagnostic Mode, select the Return until the general screen is displayed, or turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
