Outline

The control system for improved fuel economy in actual traffic aims at disseminating eco-driving. It consists of an effective control system that is activated by operating the ECON switch to set the ECON ON mode. When the ECON mode is ON, the PGM-FI system, the transmission control system, and the air conditioning system work to control fuel consumption by reducing the negative effects of the driver's driving style in an attempt to improve fuel economy.
