DTC U0401
DTC U0401: Invalid Data Received From PCM
General Description
Without CAN gateway
With CAN gateway
The transmission control module (TCM) monitors the accelerator pedal position signal and the engine torque signal received from the powertrain control module (PCM) via the communication line (F-CAN A and F-CAN B). If the TCM receives abnormal accelerator pedal position signal and abnormal engine torque signal from the PCM, the TCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the A/T gear position indicator blinks and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the TCM memory. The MIL does not come on.
