DTC P100C  : Electric VTC Motor Speed Signal Circuit Malfunction

The EVTS line and the EVTD line of the powertrain control module (PCM) receive the electric VTC motor revolution speed and the electric VTC motor revolution direction data and output pulses accordingly. The EVTD outputs the same pulse as the EVTS when the electric VTC motor revolution direction is normal and outputs reverse pulse of the EVTS when reversing. If the EVTS pulse number and the EVTD pulse number sent from the electric VTC motor are different, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
