Keyless Access System Registration: Procedure

How To Use This Service Information .

1. Keyless Access System - Registration
   NOTE:

   • Check for aftermarket electrical equipment that could cause problems with keyless access operation.
   • While doing the registration, keep the remote away from computers.
   • Programming the remote also programs the keyless transmitter.
   • The body control module can store codes up to 6 remote.
   • When each unit is replaced, updating and learning may be necessary in some cases. Confirm the replacement procedure for the unit was replace.

   When Replacing the Body Control Module or the Electric Steering Lock Control Unit 

   Preconditions 

   • HDS Connected

   Procedure 

   • Do the registration according to the "Immobilizer Setup Tool" screen.

   After Registration 

   • Verify all remote related functions works normally with all remote.

   When Replacing the PCM, the TCM, the VSA Modulator-Control Unit, or Registration of the Remote (s) 

   Preconditions 

   • HDS Connected .

   Procedure 

   1. If all remote are lost, select "Immobilizer Setup Tool", and turn the vehicle to ON mode according to the instructions on the HDS screen, then go to step 4.

   2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   3. Select "Immobilizer Setup Tool".

   4. Select the appropriate selection, and do the registration according to the instructions on the HDS screen.

   After Registration 

   • Verify system works normally with all remote.
