Test Procedure
- Preparation
- Engine start/stop switch connector (10P) : disconnected
- Body control module connector C (66P) : disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
(Disconnected) Engine start/stop switch connector (10P) female terminals (Disconnected) Body control module connector C (66P) female terminals IG Mode Normal Conditions +B_SMART circuit inspection OFF 12 V battery voltage [ circuit type 1 ] SS1 (+) open wire inspection OFF There is less than 1 Ohm SS2 (-) open wire inspection OFF There is less than 1 Ohm GND open wire inspection OFF There is less than 1 Ohm
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.
+B_BACK_UP, GND, +B_SMART Circuit Inspection
Test Procedure

- Body control module connector B (66P) : disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

L-LINE Circuit Inspection
Before disconnecting the SRS related connector, do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.

- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
Body Control Module Inspection (Without Electric Steering Lock)
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item (s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining body control module is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the body control module.
Body Control Module Inspection (With Electric Steering Lock)
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good body control module and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the body control module must be faulty.
Electric Steering Lock Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item (s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining electric steering lock is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the electric steering lock.
