Keyless Access System Touch Sensor Circuit Troubleshooting: Inspection

VOUT_FR_DR, TS_FR_DR, DL_FR_DR, GND Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Driver's door outer handle connector (8P) : disconnected
  • Body control module connector C (66P) : disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

    			(Disconnected) Driver's door outer handle connector (8P) female terminals	(Disconnected) Body control module connector C (66P) female terminals

    	VOUT_FR_DR open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	TS_FR_DR open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	DL_FR_DR open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	GND open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
    	VOUT_FR_DR shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
    	TS_FR_DR shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
    	DL_FR_DR shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

VOUT_FR_AS, TS_FR_AS, DL_FR_AS, GND Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Front passenger's door outer handle connector (8P) : disconnected
  • Body control module connector C (66P) : disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

    			(Disconnected) Front passenger's door outer handle connector (8P) female terminals	(Disconnected) Body control module connector C (66P) female terminals

    	VOUT_FR_AS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	TS_FR_AS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	DL_FR_AS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	GND open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
    	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
    	VOUT_FR_AS shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
    	TS_FR_AS shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
    	DL_FR_AS shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Driver's Door Outer Handle Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Install a known-good driver's door outer handle and attempt to reproduce the failure.

Results 

• If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
• If the symptom/DTC goes away, the driver's door outer handle must be faulty.

Front Passenger's Door Outer Handle Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Install a known-good front passenger's door outer handle and attempt to reproduce the failure.

Results 

• If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
• If the symptom/DTC goes away, the front passenger's door outer handle must be faulty.

Body Control Module Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item (s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining body control module is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the body control module.
