The A/C pressure sensor measures the change in the pressure of the air conditioning refrigerant. The signal from the A/C pressure sensor is low voltage at low pressure (when the air conditioning load is low) and high voltage at high pressure (when the air conditioning load is high). If the A/C pressure sensor output voltage is excessively high or low, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
