Improvement Control in Practical Use Fuel Consumption System Description
Outline (ECON Mode)
When the ECON mode is ON, the engine control system, the cruise control system*, the transmission control system, and the air conditioning system* work to control fuel consumption by reducing the negative effects of the driver's driving style in an attempt to improve fuel economy.
*: There are cases where it is not controlled depending on the vehicle model.

Change of ETCS system control
The opening of the throttle valve is changed by response of the accelerator pedal .
Transmission Control System
- Change in shift map allocation against accelerator full pedal depression
- Moderation of gear change responsiveness
Air Conditioning (A/C) System
- Switching to the recirculation mode
- Reduction in compressor operation frequency
- Lower flow rate
