DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P2226: General Description
The barometric pressure (BARO) sensor is built into the powertrain control module (PCM), and it monitors atmospheric pressure. The BARO sensor output voltage is converted to A/D in the sensor inside, and transmitted to the microcomputer (MCU) by serial communication. If there is no response from the BARO sensor or the self-diagnostic result of the BARO sensor is abnormal for a specified time, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
