Keyless Access System Inspection 1
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- Do the HDS [System Check 1] and [System Check 2].
- Normal Conditions
- N-1 is indicated.
Results
- If it is abnormal, troubleshoot the keyless access system according to the result of the SYSTEM CHECK 1 and 2 - Refer to: Keyless Access System Status Log () or Keyless Access System Check () .
Keyless Access System Inspection 2
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- With driver's power window open.
- Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- Remove all the keyless remotes from inside the vehicle. Place the keyless remotes more than 20 cm (8.0 in) away from the vehicle.
- Press the engine start/stop switch.
- Put the keyless remotes into the vehicle to the all doors and tailgate closed.
- Touch the engine start/stop switch with the keyless remote. The buttons on the keyless remote should be facing you.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Do the HDS [System Check].
- Normal Conditions
- N-1 is indicated.
Results
- If it is abnormal, troubleshoot the keyless access system according to the result of the SYSTEM CHECK - Refer to: Keyless Access System Status Log () or Keyless Access System Check () .
Gauge Control Module Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good gauge control module and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the gauge control module must be faulty.
Fuel and Emissions Systems Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining fuel and emissions systems is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the fuel and emissions systems.
