Three Way Catalytic Converter Inspection: Inspection

How to use this manual .

WU-TWC 

1. WU-TWC - Inspect

   Preconditions 

   • Catalytic Converter Area Removed
     • Front WU-TWC (Bank 2)
     • Rear WU-TWC (Bank 1)

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Plug up the hole(s) other than main exhaust gas route.

   2. Using a flashlight, visually check for plugging, melting, or cracking of the catalyst.

   Specifications 

   Specification
   Not plugged, melted, or cracked

   Result 

   • If it is abnormal, replace parts as needed .
     • Front WU-TWC (Bank 2)
     • Rear WU-TWC (Bank 1)

   Under-Floor TWC 

2. Under-Floor TWC - Inspect

   Preconditions 

   • Under-Floor TWC Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Plug up the hole(s) other than main exhaust gas route.

   2. Using a flashlight, visually check for plugging, melting, or cracking of the catalyst.

   Specifications 

   Specification
   Not plugged, melted, or cracked

   Result 

   • If it is abnormal, replace the under-floor TWC .
