DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P1A49: General Description
The transmission control module (TCM) detects an abnormality by the correlation of the SBW shifter control module and parking actuator valve stroke sensor signals and the shift position command and indication. The SBW control switches the shift position/mode only when there is a signal from the SBW shifter control module. If the shift position/mode command changed to parking release even when R, N, D, or S is not input from the SBW shifter control module, the TCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
