Keyless/Power Door Locks/Security System Description - Components

Door Lock Switches 

The door lock switches are integrated into, the power window master switch, and the front passenger's power window switch.

Door Lock Knob Switch/Door Lock Actuator/Driver's Door Key Cylinder Switch 

The door lock knob switch and the door lock actuator are built into the door latch of each door. The door lock knob switch detects the lock and unlock states of the lock mechanism. The door lock actuator moves the lock mechanism back and forth between the lock and unlock position. The actuator receives lock and unlock commands from the body control module. The driver's door key cylinder switch is included in the driver's door latch assembly. In conjunction with the key cylinder, it detects the lock/unlock of the key cylinder.

Door Switch 

The door switch is built into the door latch of each door. The door switch is a ON/OFF type switch that detects the opening/closing of the door.

Tailgate Release Actuator/Tailgate Latch Switch (Without Power Tailgate) 

The body control module receives an ON signal from the tailgate outer handle switch, which then outputs a signal to the tailgate release actuator, and unlocks the tailgate latch. The tailgate latch switch is the ON/OFF switch that detects the opening/closing of the tailgate. If the tailgate release actuator is bad, the tailgate may be opened manually with the lock lever.

Full Latch Switch (With Power Tailgate) 

The full latch switch is the ON/OFF switch that detects the opening/closing of the tailgate. If the tailgate closer/release actuator is abnormal, the tailgate may be opened manually with the release lever.
