Oil Pump Pipe and Screen Assembly Installation

Install a NEW O-ring seal (3) on the oil pump pipe and screen tube end. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil GM P/N US 12345501, Canada 992704, or equivalent.
Install the oil pump and screen (1).
1. 2.1. Place the oil pump pipe and screen support tab on the stud end main bearing bolt.
2. 2.2. Press the oil pump pipe and screen tube end into the oil pump.

CAUTION: Refer to in FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the bolt (4) into the oil pump.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 in lbs).
Install the nut (2) on the stud of the main bearing bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 in lbs).
