ISSUE & TIP

Some time ago, we replaced the clutch in a Hyundai Excel. Despite our caution in removing and reinstalling the drive axles, the car came back with leaking transaxle drive axle seals.

When we ordered new seals through the local Hyundai dealer, we found out that although there are no TSBs concerning leaky drive axle seals, the dealership's technicians have had the same problem and now always replace the seals when a clutch is replaced.

We've done several more clutch jobs on Hyundai Excels and now we too always replace the drive axle seals and we've had "Excel"lent results. No more embarrassing comebacks.
