Ignition Timing

  1. Check ignition timing with engine at normal operating temperature and with distributor vacuum hoses disconnected and plugged.
  2. Run engine at specified curb idle speed. Check ignition timing. See IGNITION TIMING  table.

Calif. Models 3 @ Idle
Federal Models 5 @ Idle
(1) All transmissions in Neutral.
(2) Align mark with pointer (if equipped).
