Mixture Control Valve (MCV)

  1. Remove air cleaner. Bring engine to normal operating temperature. Open and close throttle valve quickly to check MCV operation and air suction noise. See Fig 1 .
  2. MCV should open and suck air when throttle valve is quickly opened or closed. During idling condition, MCV valve should be closed with no sucking noise heard.
