Power Windows: Description

NOTE: Elantra models are equipped with front-only power windows or front and rear power windows. Master switch will have 2 or 4 window switches.

A permanent magnet motor operates each of the power windows. The driver's master switch assembly controls all of the power window motors. Each window switch controls only one of the power window motors. If the lockout switch is depressed, rear power windows cannot be controlled by rear window switches, but they can still be controlled from driver's master switch assembly.
