Vehicle Speed Sensor Inspection

Check output of VSS signal. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ECM harness connector terminal No. 18 (Yellow wire, 22-pin connector) on Excel California model, terminal No. 19 (Yellow/White wire, 24-pin connector) on all other models and vehicle ground with rear wheels turning. See Figure , Figure and Figure . If DVOM does not display a pulse voltage, replace VSS and retest.
