Spark Plug: Service and Repair

SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT





1. Remove spark plug wires from spark plugs by twisting and pulling on the boot only.
2. Using the proper sized spark plug socket remove the spark plugs by turning them counterclockwise.





3. Gap the new spark plugs to specifications.

Spark Plug Gap: 1.0-1.1 mm (0.039-0.043 in)

4. Lightly coat threads with an approved anti-seize compound prior to installation.
5. Install spark plugs by turning them clockwise. Torque spark plugs to specifications.

Spark Plug Torque: 20-30 Nm (15-21 ft lb)
