Intake Air Temperature Sensor

The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is a thermistor whose resistance decreases as coolant temperature increases. Sensor is located in air cleaner housing. This sensor is a thermistor which measures temperature of incoming air, and sends a signal to the ECM. The ECM uses air temperature sensor information for controlling fuel delivery.
