Diagnostic Tests: Notes

CAUTION: Perform all resistance and voltage tests with a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) with minimum 10-megohm impedance, unless stated otherwise in test procedures. Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position when performing resistance tests.

NOTE: For identification of circuits, terminals and wire colors referenced in the following test procedures, see appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

NOTE: When specific DTC testing is not available from manufacturer, check suspect component wiring harness for shorts or opens. Ensure suspect system and component are operating properly. See SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article. See SENSOR OPERATING RANGE CHARTS article.
