Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

The self-diagnostic system monitors input signals from each sensor. If an abnormal input signal occurs, that item is stored by ECM as a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). DTCs can be read with an OBD-II compliant scan tool. ECM memory can be erased and codes cleared by disconnecting battery or ECM connector, or by using scan tool.
