DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Pressure change in intake manifold is monitored, when EGR is operated intentionally during deceleration
  • Faulty EGR S/V
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant > 74°C (165.2°F)
  • Load value < 22%
  • Engine speed 1000 < Ne < 1875
  • Idle on
Threshold value
  • Change in PEGR = {P2-P (ne2)} - {P1-P (Ne1)} is greater than or equal to 0 AT: < 26 mmHg MT: < 15 mmHg
Diagnosis Time
  • 1.3 sec
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
