1.6 DOHC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
Monitoring Strategy
  • Heater current check
  • Contaminated, deteriorated or aged HO2S
  • Heater resistance out of reasonable range
  • Faulty HO2S heater
  • Faulty PCM
  • Misplaced, bent, loose or corroded terminals
Threshold value
  • Internal resistance >threshold (exh. temp., heater power)
Enable Conditions
  • Catalyst temperature (model) 370-900°C (698~1652°F)
  • Dew point end detected Battery voltage 10.7-15.6V
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
Fail Safe
  • Heater open loop control
