1.6 DOHC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
Monitoring Strategy
  • Rationality check
  • Open in signal and ground circuit
  • Short to battery in control circuit
  • Faulty HO2S
  • Faulty PCM
  • Poor connections between HO2S and PCM
  • Misplaced, bent, loose or corroded terminals.
Case 1 Threshold value
  • Sensor voltage: 0.06~0.4V
Enable Conditions
  • Downstream O2 sensor voltage > 0.5 V
Diagnostic Time
  • 8 sec
Case 2 Threshold value
  • Sensor voltage: 0.6-1.08V
Enable Conditions
  • Downstream O2 sensor voltage < 0.1 V
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 sec
Fail Safe
  • None
