Control Circuit Inspection

Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect A/C Relay.
Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
Measure voltage between terminal 3 of A/C Relay harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: approximately 3.7V

Is measure voltage within Specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check for open or Short to battery in control circuit.
- Check for open or Short to ground in control circuit.
- Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NOTE:
1. In case, when A/C Relay connector is disconnected, the voltage at terminal 3 is 12V.
  - Possible cause: Short to battery in control circuit
2. In case, when A/C Relay connector is disconnected, the voltage at terminal 3 is 0V.
  - Possible cause: Short to ground in control circuit
