Control Circuit Inspection

Check for short to ground in harness
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect DM-TL connector and PCM connector.
3. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
4. Measure resistance between terminal 1 of DM-TL harness connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: infinite

5. Is measure resistance within Specification?
  YES
  - Go to "Check for short between Pump Control and Solenoid Control harness" below.
  NO
  - Short circuit to chassis ground between DM-TL harness connector and PCM harness connector.
  - Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Check for short between Pump Control and Solenoid Control harness
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect DM-TL connector and PCM connector.
3. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
4. Measure resistance between terminal 1 and 2 of DM-TL harness connector.
  Specification: infinite

5. Is measure resistance within Specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Shorted circuit between Pump Control circuit and Solenoid Control circuit.
  - Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
