Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 Hyundai XG350, 2003 Hyundai Tiburon, 2003 Hyundai Sonata, 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe, and 2003 Hyundai Elantra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Using scan tool, retrieve and record all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Locate PCM. See LOCATING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) . Disconnect PCM harness connector. Remove PCM mounting screws or clips. Remove PCM.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure all harness and cable connections are clean and tight.
