Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. Check for short to battery in harness.
    1. Ignition "OFF".
    2. Disconnect SUB FLS sensor connector.
    3. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
    4. Measure voltage between terminal "1" of SUB FLS harness connector and chassis ground.

      Specification: Approx. above 6.5V

    5. Is the measured voltage within specifications?

      YES

      • Go to " 2 Check for open in harness" as below.

      NO

  2. Check for open in harness.
    1. Ignition "OFF".
    2. Disconnect SUB FLS sensor and PCM connector.
    3. Measure resistance between terminal 1 of SUB FLS harness connector and terminal 20/C21-2 of PCM harness connector.

      Specification: Approx. below 1Ω

    4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

      YES

      NO

  3. Check for open in intermediate connection.
    1. Ignition "OFF".
    2. Disconnect Sub. & Main connector of FLS.
    3. Measure resistance between terminal 2 of SUB. FLS harness connector and MAIN FLS harness connector.

      Specification: Approx. below 1Ω

    4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

      YES

      NO
