Component Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Fuel Level Sensor connector.
- Measure resistance between terminal "1" and "2" of the Sub Fuel Level Sensor connector during lifting fuel float up and down (To Component Side).
- Measure resistance between terminal "2" and "3" of the Main Fuel Level Sensor connector during lifting fuel float up and down (To Component Side).FLS PARAMETER REFERENCE CHART
FLS Normal Parameter Float position Full gauge 3/4 1/2 1/4 Empty gauge Resistance 8Ω 38.5Ω 71Ω 116.6Ω 200Ω Fuel volume 63l 50l 37l 23l 5l - Is the measured resistance of Fuel Level Sensor within specifications?
YES
- Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation.
- If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known - good Fuel Level Sensor and check for proper operation.
- If the problem is corrected, replace Fuel Level Sensor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
