DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Output voltage and Change in fuel-level voltage (Change in VFLI) is monitored.
  • Short to battery in Fuel Level Sensor (FLS) circuit
  • Faulty Fuel Level Sensor
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is greater than or equal to 10V
  • Time after start > 10 sec.
Threshold value
  • Output voltage < 0.02V
  • VFLI for 300sec (Vs > 0) < 0.039V
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
