DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Resistance of sensor (Rcts) is monitored
  • Poor connection
  • Short to ground in ECT sensor circuit
  • Faulty ECT sensor
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Time after start > 2 sec
Threshold value
  • Resistance, Rcts < 50
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
