Heated Oxygen Sensor (Ho2S): Replacement

  1. Disconnect the battery's negative terminal and remove the engine cover.
  2. Remove the air intake hose and then separate the throttle body from the surge tank to get working space.
  3. Disconnect the surrounding wirings which interfere with the removing procedures of the surge tank.
  4. Remove the surge tank assembly.
  5. Remove EGR pipe.
  6. Remove the heater hose, power steering bracket and manifold stay.
  7. Remove the heat protector of catalytic converter and unfasten the oxygen sensor.
  8. Replace the damaged oxygen sensor with the new one.
  9. Refill engine coolant water.
