Inspection Procedures
- CHECK DTC RELATING TO FTPS/PCSV
- Connect Hi-Scan (Pro) to data link connector.
- Turn ignition to ON and monitor other DTCs.
Is any DTC relating to FTPS or PCSV set?
No: Go to next
Yes: Do all repairs associated with those codes before proceeding with this procedure.
- CHECK FTPS/PCSV FOR CONNECTOR CONDITION
- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Thoroughly check connectors for loose, bent, corroded, contaminated, deteriorated or damaged connectors.
Is any problem present?
No: Go to next
Yes: Repair or replace it.
- CHECK FTPS FOR NORMAL PARAMETER
- Install FTPS and monitor FTPS voltage signal.
- Specification: approximately 2.5V at idle
Is voltage within specifications?
Yes: Go to next
No: Replace FTPS.
- CHECK PCSV
- Disconnect PCSV connector and EVAP hose (PCSV side) between PCSV and canister.
- Check vacuum at PCSV.
Is PCSV normal?
Yes: Proceed with ECM PROBLEM PROCEDURE .
No: Replace it.
