DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Resistance of sensor is monitored
  • Poor connection
  • Short to ground in ECT sensor circuit
  • Faulty ECT sensor
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Time after start-up > 2 sec
Threshold value
  • Resistance < 50Ω
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
