DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Pressure change in intake manifold is monitored when EGR is open intentionally during deceleration
  • Faulty EGR S/V
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant temperature > 75°C (167°F)
  • Load value < 22%
  • Engine speed: 970~1600 rpm
  • Idle switch: ON
Threshold value
  • Pressure change < 19 mmHg
Diagnosis Time
  • 6.5 sec
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
