DTC P2231: Ho2S Signal Circuit Shorted To Heater Circuit (Bank1, Sensor1): DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Front HO2S signal monitoring.
  • Contact resistance in connectors
  • Interference in HO2S
Enable Conditions
  • Lambda closed loop control active
  • Stable driving condition
  • Exhaust temperature mode > 400°C(752°F)
  • No relevant failure
  • 11V < Battery voltage < 16V
Threshold Value
  • More than 50 heater coupling detected during 100cycles of heating frequency
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 sec.
