Component Inspection

Check IG failure sensor.
1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
2. Connect IG failure sensor and PCM connector.
3. Check that RPM meter on instrument panel is operating correctly and the signal waveform of IG failure sensor a 4.

4. Is the IG failure sensor normal?
  YES
  - Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation.
    If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Substitute with a known - good IG failure sensor and check for proper operation.
    If the problem is corrected, replace IG failure sensor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
