Ground Circuit Inspection

  1. Key "OFF".
  2. Disconnect TPS connector.
  3. Key "ON".
  4. Measure the voltage between terminal 2 of TPS harness connector and chassis ground. (A)
  5. Measure the voltage between terminal 2 and 3 of TPS harness connector. (B)

    Specification: "A" - "B" = Below 200mV

  6. Is the measured voltage within specifications?

    YES  : --> Go to "SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.

    NO  : --> Check for Open in ground circuit. Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
