Signal Circuit Inspection

Check Voltage
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect Instrument cluster connector.
2. IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
3. Measure voltage between terminal 4 of Fuel Sender & Fuel Pump Motor harness connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: Approx. 0V
4. Is the measured voltage within specification?
  YES
  - Go to " 2Check open in harness" procedure.
  NO
  - Repair short to battery in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Check open in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect Instrument cluster connector and Fuel Sender & Fuel Pump Motor connector.
2. Measure resistance between terminal 4 of Fuel Sender & Fuel Pump Motor harness connector and terminal 5 of Instrument cluster.
  Specification: Below 1Ω
3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to " 1Check open in harness" procedure.
  NO
  - Repair open in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
